Your registrar, DNS provider, website host and email provider can be four different services. Changing nameservers without mapping those dependencies can interrupt email even when the website loads. We identify the owners and records before proposing a change.

Scope and boundaries
StartMyWeb does not claim to own a hosting network or act as your email provider. Provider subscriptions, mailbox-content transfers, enterprise infrastructure and round-the-clock incident coverage are separate. Changes require appropriate access and approval from the account owner.
How the work proceeds
Map the providers
Identify where the domain is registered, where DNS is authoritative, where WordPress runs and where email is delivered. Preserve the current configuration before editing.
Agree the change
Define whether the work is troubleshooting, a domain connection or a host migration. Record timing, access, rollback and any provider-owned steps.
Coordinate the implementation
Change only the required settings and review the resulting records. Keep existing email and verification records unless there is an agreed reason to replace them.
Verify and hand over
Check HTTPS, key website pages and the agreed email test. Document remaining propagation or provider dependencies and account responsibilities.
Website hosting is separate from mailbox content
Moving WordPress does not automatically move stored emails, calendars or contacts. A mailbox migration needs a separate source, destination, data-retention and cutover plan. We distinguish DNS routing from mailbox contents in the quote.
Sending and receiving need separate checks
A website accepting a form does not establish inbox delivery. We test the agreed recipient and record whether the message reaches Inbox, Spam or neither. Authentication records and provider logs can inform the investigation, but no setting guarantees inbox placement for every recipient.
Buyer questions
Must I move my domain registration?
Usually the relevant question is which DNS records need changing. A registration transfer is a separate decision and is not automatically required for a website move.
Can you help with business email records?
Yes. We can coordinate the DNS records supplied by your actual email provider and test the agreed mail path.
Are hosting charges included?
Only if explicitly stated in the proposal. Your business should retain control of its domain, hosting and email accounts.
Can you guarantee uninterrupted service?
No universal guarantee is appropriate. We agree a change window, verification steps and a recovery plan for the specific setup.
