GoDaddy Website Builder to WordPress Migration Guide
Identify the GoDaddy product before planning a WordPress move, then inventory content, rebuild required features and verify the launch.

Before planning a GoDaddy-to-WordPress move, identify what GoDaddy currently provides. Domain registration, email, Website Builder and WordPress hosting are different services. A site already running WordPress usually needs a different migration method from a site built with Website Builder.
Confirm the actual source product
Review the product name and the website's current administration workflow. Share the public address and product name in the initial brief, without credentials. If the website already runs WordPress, investigate the hosting-transfer scope rather than assuming it must be rebuilt.
For a Website Builder site, prepare a page and feature inventory. Do not assume a backup or an export is a complete portable WordPress website. Verify the source options for the product actually in use.
Define the replacement content and layouts
List pages, images, articles and business information to retain. Decide whether the new WordPress site follows the current visual direction or includes a redesign. Useful content should be reviewed before being rewritten or removed.
Map page intent and addresses. Preserve useful URLs where practical and document relevant destinations for changed ones. The new layout, content transfer and redirect work should all appear in the scope.
Review bookings, stores and integrations
Record what customers do on the existing site and which notifications or systems support it. A similar-looking form may not reproduce the same workflow. Store and membership data require their own transfer and testing decisions.
Identify provider subscriptions and license costs. The website developer may coordinate a change without owning the domain, email service or payment account. Keep account responsibilities explicit.
Build and test before cutover
Use a draft or staging site with real content. Compare representative pages, media and navigation against the inventory. Test the inquiry route and any agreed business features on smaller screens as well as desktop.
Agree how new orders, appointments or content changes created during development will be handled. A replacement based on an old copy needs a reconciliation plan before it becomes live.
Keep domain and email decisions separate
Changing the website does not automatically require changing the registrar or moving stored mail. Map DNS and email dependencies before altering records, and keep a recovery route during the approved release.
StartMyWeb's GoDaddy rebuild service begins with the source-product check. The proposal defines content, feature recreation, launch responsibilities and exclusions without promising an automatic transfer or unchanged rankings.
