What a GoDaddy Website Rebuild Includes
Review a GoDaddy Website Builder rebuild proposal for content, WordPress layouts, feature replacements, URL mapping and ownership after launch.

A rebuild proposal should explain the replacement website in terms the business can review. “Move my GoDaddy site” is not enough to establish whether the work includes copy, bookings, store data, email or a new design. Clarify the source product and separate the deliverables before comparing prices.
A source and dependency review
The initial review identifies Website Builder versus an existing WordPress site, along with domain, DNS, hosting and email providers. It also records useful pages and the functions customers use. This prevents a hosting problem from being priced as an unnecessary redesign.
Account access is discussed through a private channel when needed. The initial quote request can use the public website, product name, main problem and desired outcome.
A defined WordPress structure
The proposal should identify templates and pages, navigation, mobile layouts and the expected editing workflow. Clarify which design elements are retained and which are new. A developer should not have to guess whether “same website” means identical appearance, the same content or equivalent functionality.
List content responsibilities. Copywriting, image rights, original assets and article entry can materially change the work. Decide who reviews the accuracy of services and business claims before publication.
Feature replacement and data scope
Forms, appointments, products, payments and memberships need explicit acceptance criteria. Confirm the replacement approach, licenses and any limits. Historical records are not automatically included just because a visible feature is rebuilt.
For an active business, identify what changes during development and how the final replacement is reconciled. New customer activity must not be lost when a staging copy is released.
URL, technical and launch work
Include old-to-new URL decisions, relevant redirects, metadata and internal links. Review HTTPS, image delivery and important integrations. Domain and business-email changes should have named owners and a recovery plan.
The release needs both approval and production checks. A preview may behave differently because of caches, hosting or provider settings. Test the important visitor journeys after the switch rather than treating design sign-off as the final verification.
Handover and continuing care
Record account ownership, licenses, editing guidance and support boundaries. Ask which old subscriptions can be reviewed for cancellation and what data must be preserved first. Separate continuing maintenance from a one-time rebuild.
