Wix to WordPress Costs and Project Scope
Scope Wix-to-WordPress costs through templates, content, app replacements, data work, testing and recurring website responsibilities.

The cost of a Wix-to-WordPress move depends on what must be rebuilt and verified. A small service website and a business using bookings, members or a store are different projects. Compare proposals against the same requirements instead of assuming migration is a single standardized task.
Count page types and content work
List unique layouts and the number of pages using each. Decide whether existing copy is retained, edited or rewritten. Include articles, galleries and download pages that can be missed when the brief focuses on the homepage.
Separate content entry from design. A reusable layout can reduce repeated design effort, but each page still needs accurate material, appropriate media and a check of its links and headings.
Price the feature decisions
Inventory forms, scheduling, products, payments, memberships and automations. Ask how each required behavior will be implemented in WordPress and who maintains it. A replacement extension may introduce a license, another provider account or a different workflow.
Do not assume the rebuild includes every historical record. If bookings, subscribers or store data must move, specify the source data, destination fields, testing and treatment of new changes during development.
Include URLs, email and launch checks
A meaningful migration scope includes old-to-new URL decisions, metadata checks, internal links and the actual contact journey. Domain and email records need their own review. Moving a website does not automatically move mailbox contents or cancel the old provider's subscriptions.
Ask who will perform the final cutover and who approves it. Include a recovery plan and production tests rather than treating launch as a single button press after design approval.
Compare recurring responsibilities
List hosting renewals, paid licenses, backups and maintenance. Confirm which accounts your business controls and what happens if ongoing agency support ends. A proposal that appears cheaper may simply leave more continuing tasks with you.
Keep revision rounds and additional requests clear. Changes to the agreed design or feature set can affect effort and timing; a written change process is more useful than an unqualified promise of unlimited work.
Request a quote that can be reviewed
Send the website, desired outcome, required features, content readiness and requested timing. An optional budget range helps discuss priorities, but it is not a fixed package price. Ask for inclusions, exclusions and dependencies in the resulting proposal.
Discuss a Wix-to-WordPress scope with StartMyWeb. No universal price or completion time is presented without reviewing the actual site, and no migration quote should imply guaranteed ranking or lead retention.
