Wix to WordPress Redirects Forms and Content Checklist
Review a Wix-to-WordPress rebuild using a checklist for URLs, content, media, forms, business features and approved launch decisions.

A migration checklist should identify what a reviewer can actually test. Use it alongside the agreed scope, not as a promise that every Wix feature transfers automatically. Assign each check an owner and record exceptions before the new website becomes public.
Check the page inventory
Compare the old and new page lists. Confirm that useful service pages, articles and campaign destinations were retained, redirected or intentionally retired. Open the important addresses rather than assuming a matching menu label means the destination exists.
Review titles, main headings, descriptions and canonical URLs. Look for staging links and ensure preview-only blocking settings are handled in the approved release plan. A visually complete page can still expose the wrong search metadata.
Check content and media
Read representative pages for missing paragraphs, broken formatting or content carried over from an outdated offer. Verify that images load from an appropriate permanent source and that the business has permission to use them.
Inspect mobile layouts with long headings and real images. Check galleries, tables and embedded content separately; these may not behave like a standard text page after a platform change.
Check forms from the visitor to the inbox
Test labels, required fields, validation and the success state. Submit a clearly labeled test and confirm delivery with the approved recipient, checking Spam as well as Inbox. Preserve an alternative contact method where appropriate.
Review notification destinations and any connected CRM or calendar. A form appearing on the page does not establish that its integration is active. Do not send real customer records or credentials in a test brief.
Check business-specific functions
For bookings, verify the agreed calendar and confirmation behavior. For stores, test product choices, cart and checkout with the approved payment test method. For memberships, review which account and access functions were included in the proposal.
Record features that remain external or are intentionally replaced. The owner should understand the new workflow before the old app or subscription is canceled.
Check the live release
Agree DNS and email responsibilities, the cutover window and recovery route. Re-test important old URLs, the new navigation and the inquiry journey on production. Update internal links to direct destinations where practical.
Archive the checks and unresolved items. Search visibility requires separate monitoring after launch, and a submitted indexing request does not guarantee inclusion or ranking. Request a Wix migration review when the release needs coordinated content, feature and technical verification.
